It may not look much but the battery sitting in is tray represents an hours work, I bloody hate riveting by hand!
How hard can it be? A blog of a Dax De Dion build and continuous fettling + "improvements"

Radiator 2
Got the radiator back this weekend after being modified. I had the filler neck and drain plug removed, new mounting posts on the bottom and some tabs for mounting the fan on. Its now absolutely solid, should have done this in the first place! It only cost an hours labour too.

Loom 2 - Front Lights
Today I cut the front loom to length for the near side headlight and indicator, and crimped all the wires up for the connectors. I put in a common earth point for the nearside lights too. I ran the loom in a fairly arbitrary position once it got past the bonnet hinge in a position that is fairly easy to get to once the headlights are in, thinking about it I might move it to the very top so its out the way, then clip the earth wire on its way to the chassis. Might be a bit neater this way.

Loom 1
The loom has been roughly in place for a while but I've started nailing it down now, the fuse box is accessible from the engine bay through the bulkhead and the relays are on a bracket on the scuttle hoop behind the dash. If I had thought about it more I would probably have put the fuses on something similar but I've chopped a hole in the bulkhead now so its a bit too late. The wires into the back of the fusebox are a right old mess to look at but its all tied up securely to comply with IVA rules so I cant really do much more. The fuse box pulls out on the cockpit side of the bulkhead so getting to the terminals if necessary will be inconvenient, but not impossible.
